The HKUST Entrepreneurship Center was honored to host the IndonesiaNEXT delegation, organized by Telkomsel, as part of their Hong Kong immersion program from 17–21 October 2025. On 20 October, a distinguished 12-member group — including Telkomsel CSR leaders and outstanding students from Indonesia’s premier universities — visited our center to gain insights into our structured support for student entrepreneurship through education, incubation, and international collaboration.

The exceptional Indonesian talents are developing innovative solutions addressing critical global challenges, including AI-driven financial tools, circular upcycling initiatives, smart farming technologies, SME talent development platforms, digital safety systems, and AI-powered sign language translation. The delegation toured The BASE, our advanced co-working facility, and the Hong Kong Generative AI Research and Development Center Limited, while engaging in a substantive dialogue with Professor Carrie Hang-yin Ling, Director of the HKUST Entrepreneurship Center, on institutional frameworks for fostering scalable ventures.

This visit underscored the remarkable vision and technical prowess of Indonesia’s rising innovators. We look forward to deepening strategic partnerships between Indonesia and Hong Kong’s startup ecosystems, facilitating ongoing knowledge transfer and joint innovation initiatives.
