Managing Partner, Gobi Partners

 

Chibo Tang, Managing Partner of Gobi Partners has been investing in tech startups in Asia for 15 years. He is the Head of Gobi’s Greater Bay Area (GBA) practice and manages multiple funds affiliated with the Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund as the exclusive General Partner (GP). He has led investments in numerous unicorns in the region, including Airwallex, AutoX, Amber Group, Animoca Brands, and WeLab.      

Chibo has garnered numerous accolades within the industry, including the Silicon Dragon Venture Capitalist of the Year 2017, Top 25 Global Corporate Venturing Rising Star, Top 10 Global Corporate Venturing Emerging Leader, Tatler’s Asia’s Most Influential 2021 and 2023, and a Top 20 Most Influential GP of the Year 2023 by the China LP Club.    

Chibo received his B.A. in Applied Mathematics and Economics from Harvard College and received his MBA in Finance from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS).
