Background
The Greater Bay Area STEAM Excellence Award (HKSAR) has been organized by Hong Kong New Emerging Technology Education Association (HKNETEA) since 2019 with the objective to enhance students’ creativity and innovation, and recognise young STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) talents for their efforts, while recognizing the dedication of schools and teachers for their outstanding work and commitment to STEAM education.

General Eligibility Requirements
Applicants are advised to be aware of the best practice and case-based experience as promulgated by the Office of Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data.
In case of any dispute, the decision of the organiser will be final and binding on all parties concerned.
Postgraduate Stream
The projects should be conducted by local registered tertiary institution students, Non-local students are also welcome (Master and PhD), including the applicants who are graduates in the academic year 2024-2025. Projects can be conducted by an individual or a group of no more than six students. Submission (*) can be in the form of an essay of 2,000 words, short video or a PPT. (Administration Fee : Free of Charge)
(*) For Science Video, submitted works are divided into three sub-categories: a) scientific exploration documentary, b) scientific micro film, and c) popular science animation. Winners in this category will have the opportunity to be nominated to join The China Adolescents Science Video Festival.
a) Scientific Exploration Documentary : The work is based on real scientific exploration processes, interpreting scientific content through scientific methods and perspectives. It should not be fictional and should be presented through artistic audiovisual means, stimulating people’s thinking about science. (Length 4-8 minutes)
b) Scientific Micro Film:Creating a narrative story with scientific value requires elements such as time, place, characters, themes, and plot. It emphasizes the creation of a script to make the storytelling complete, vivid, and highly engaging. (Length 4-8 minutes)
c) Popular Science Animation:Use simple, exaggerated, and humorous techniques to revolve around a scientific phenomenon or abstract scientific knowledge in everyday life, presenting it through lively animated scenarios. (Length 4-8 minutes)
