HKUST Start-Up beats out the best from around the world in HKSTP Elevator Pitch Competition 2023

Congratulations! Skyland Innovation Company Limited incubated by Hong Kong Center for Construction Robotics (HKCRC) has been crowned the overall champion and PropTech Winner of the 2023 Elevator Pitch Competition (EPiC), beating out over 610 startups from 55 economies around the world.

Skyland Innovation, which helps property owners and contractors to coordinate and communicate seamlessly on construction sites through the use of robotics and AI, claimed the top cash prize of in total of US$90,000.

Jessy WANG from Skyland said I feel very happy for the team. As a young team, we want to be seen very much. On such a big platform, we feel that we have received support and recognition like we have won a small battle, which I think is a great encouragement for our team.

Hong Kong Center for Construction Robotics led by Professor Zexiang LI from HKUST was established in 2020 as a joint collaborative effort among the HKUST and overseas institutions. It has been admitted to the AIR@InnoHK programme launched by Innovation and Technology Commission, HKSAR.
