HKUST Start-up won the Gold Medal at Qianhai-Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau-Taiwan Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition 2022

Congratulations! HKUST start-up team Cryochip has just received the Gold Medal in the Enterprise Category at the Qianhai-Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau-Taiwan Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition 2022.

Cryochip Team has developed an automated platform for egg or embryo cryopreservation in vitro. Through automation, the complicated human eggs and embryo vitrification procedures can be standardized, eliminating the performance fluctuation in conventional manual operation.

Supported by the HKUST Entrepreneurship Center in securing their initial investment in 2018/19, Cryochip Team is also a recipient of HKUST Alumni Endowment Fund Student Start-up Grants and HKUST U* Star Award.

Qianhai-Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau-Taiwan Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition aims to discover creative and innovative young talents, cultivate young people's innovative attitudes, develop leadership potential and entrepreneurial spirit, and realize their entrepreneurial dreams in the Greater Bay Area.
