We are thrilled to announce the remarkable success of HKUST startup teams in three prestigious competitions: the 18th Challenge Cup National College Students’ Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Contest, the 9th China International College Students' 'Internet+' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and the 10th China College Students Entrepreneurship Competition.
Known as the "Chinese Olympics of Science and Technology," the Challenge Cup covers various fields, including management, social science, and energy sources. HKUST stood out by winning the special prize for their research on high-quality two-dimensional MXene materials, the first prize for their innovative aviation education program, and the third prize for their AI lawyer for contract processing. HKUST was the only Hong Kong university to receive the Top and First Prizes.
In the China College Students Entrepreneurship Competition, HKUST achieved the second award for their groundbreaking project "Leading New Materials" which is redefining the global two-dimensional material industry. Additionally, HKUST teams received other 2 merit awards for their projects focused on intelligent floor paint roller coating solutions and more.
Moreover, in the China International College Students' 'Internet+' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, HKUST teams clinched 1 gold award, 2 silver awards, and 2 bronze awards, further showcasing their excellence in leveraging the power of technology.
