In order to solve the safety problem, the start-up company Solid-X has developed solid electrolytes to replace liquid electrolytes. The advantage of solid electrolytes is that they are non-flammable, and their operating temperature range can be expanded to minus 20 degrees to 80 degrees. The operating efficiency of traditional batteries is as high as 60 degrees, so the operating range is increased by 33%.

Since the battery developed by Solid-X can operate at high temperatures, it can be applied to electric vehicles, reducing the weight of the cooling system of the vehicles and improving safety. At the same time, the battery can be charged and discharged 1,000 times. The current automotive industry standard is 800 times for charging and discharging, which shows that the battery has reached and exceeded the industry standard.

Solid-X has received a prize of HKD$100K in the One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition.
