Connie K.W Lee, CEO and Founder of Elevatefoods, graduated from Design Academy Eindhoven and has extensive industrial experience in creating award-winning product innovations, including recognitions from the German Design Awards and Design for Asia Awards. Connie founded a design consultancy firm Contact Design Group and a wellness beverage technology company Lify Wellness. She has been honored as a "40 under 40 Designer" by Perspective Magazine and was a SheLovesTech Finalist with Elevatefoods, a 3D food technology startup spun off from HKUST since 2022.

Cooking is time-consuming; and consistency in flavours, textures and presentation may be a hard feat. Cooking in high temperatures may even destroy nutrients. Elevatefoods realises the potential in 3D food printing in the health food industry and has come up with the patented 3D food printing and processing technology that uses Ultrafast Nano Heater, Selective Spot Cooking, AI food data technology, data from users’ nutrition requirements, health statistics and more to tailor delicious but ultra-healthy on-demand digital food recipes. Elevatefoods can make functional foods, fortified snacks, baked goods, carbohydrates, proteins, vegetables, gels and more. The novel food fabrication technology also targets the health and wellness market by creating meals for patients with specialized diet needs and thereby reducing the stress and manpower in commercial kitchens, elderly homes, clinics, and hospitals. The technology also reduces food surplus with the mission to save the planet.
