Company Description
Locolla, founded in 2016 and headquartered in Hong Kong, is a shared micro-mobility company that offers shared bicycles, electric-assist bicycles, and other low-carbon transportation services. It aims to transform Hong Kong's transportation industry towards a smarter and more sustainable direction.
LocoBike, the flagship brand of Locolla, is Hong Kong's largest shared bicycle platform. Locolla also provides shared electric mobility services, including electric scooters and electric-assist bicycles, making it the first company in Hong Kong to offer such options. By leveraging artificial intelligence and big data technology, Locolla continuously improves fleet deployment and product services to provide efficient and convenient user experiences that meet diverse travel needs.
Locolla has established close partnerships with the Hong Kong government and relevant departments. In 2022, they collaborated on the development and operation of a 2-kilometer smart bicycle lane on Hong Kong Island. Locolla assisted in creating the accompanying app and IoT system while managing the daily operations of the bike lane. This marked their first collaboration with the government, expanding their business scope into public infrastructure and urban planning.
In 2023, Locolla partnered with the Transport Department to launch the New Territories' first shared electric mobility trial program. This collaboration highlights Locolla's commitment to sustainable urban transportation. With their technological expertise and government cooperation, Locolla swiftly introduces innovative services aligned with government policies, providing affordable and convenient travel experiences for a wider range of citizens.
