Kenneth MA
founder & CEO, Genius development workshop company ltd.
Prior to the advent of written records, education was primarily transmitted through the sharing of life experiences from one generation to the next. My own life experiences are demarcated into three phases: ages 18-28, 29-48, and 49 onwards. Born into a devout Christian family, my early years were profoundly influenced by my grandfather, who imparted his Christian convictions to me. These teachings deeply embedded themselves in my upbringing, instilling a steadfast resolve to disseminate this virtuous knowledge to those in dire need. Upon completing my undergraduate studies in Japanese Studies at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, I dedicated myself to missionary work, establishing a church in Outer Mongolia from 1995 to 1997. After serving an additional two years as an evangelist in Hong Kong, I transitioned to entrepreneurship, grounding my business endeavors in Christian principles. Since then, I have attained considerable success in business and investment sectors. My academic pursuits continued unabated, culminating in the acquisition of two master's degrees: a Master of Psychology in Counselling from the University of South Australia, and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, obtained intermittently between 1999 and 2016. In 2008, coinciding with the birth of my first child, I envisioned creating an innovative educational model that would offer exemplary learning opportunities. This vision led to the inception of Genius Development Workshop Hong Kong (www.geniusdevelop.com) in 2019, after extensive research, practice, and collaboration with esteemed educators from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Hong Kong. This STEM Education Organization is predicated on the belief that 'Geniuses are not born, they are nurtured.
Company Description
At Genius Development, we are anchored in the conviction that each child harbors the capacity to evolve into a scientist, or perhaps even a laureate of the Nobel Prize. This conviction has catalyzed the creation and implementation of innovative methodologies aimed at realizing such an aspiration. Our state-of-the-art laboratories and meticulously devised curricula shepherd students through a myriad of subjects, engaging them in hands-on experiments under the guidance of our enthusiastic and eminently qualified educators. Children, inherently scientific thinkers, zealous innovators, and scholarly explorers, possess an innate curiosity about the world; they are visionaries yearning to make a significant impact in the future—a vision that educators dedicate their lives to fulfilling. We recognize that the innate curiosity children have for scientific subjects tends to wane as they age; hence, we implore parents to seize this critical period and encourage the study of science. It is our firm belief that scientific acumen is most effectively imparted and explored through practical engagement, particularly in the formative years of childhood. With pride, we have devised an exhaustive STEM learning ecosystem to kindle and nurture a zeal for learning within children ranging from 3 to 17 years of age. In constructing this all-encompassing system, we have enlisted a substantial number of distinguished industry specialists and teachers who have demonstrated success in their fields to amalgamate with our research and development and instructional teams. This collaboration has yielded over 300 scientific themes and in excess of 5,000 scientific experiments, providing our students with invaluable educational experiences. Our curricular programs are accentuated by a focus on experimental methods, critical thought, and a cooperative ethos, assuring that our pupils not only thrive in the scientific domain but are also fundamentally shaped by these core values.
