This 10-week training program is designed to equip you with the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to navigate the entrepreneurial landscape. Whether you're a budding entrepreneur with a business idea or simply curious about the entrepreneurial mindset, this course will provide you with valuable insights and practical tools to kickstart your entrepreneurial journey.
Each week we will explore a different aspect of entrepreneurship, from the overview of entrepreneurship and generating business ideas to crafting a comprehensive business plan. We will also provide a brief walkthrough of the financial, legal, and intellectual property issues that startups commonly face, as well as digital marketing and pitching strategies.

Note
Entrepreneurship 101 is a non-credit course offered by the Entrepreneurship Center (EC). Participants who attend 8 or more physical sessions will receive certificates of attendance issued by EC.
Target | UG/PG students, no prior knowledge required |
Format | Each session will consist of a 1-hour seminar, followed by a networking session where light refreshments will be provided. |
Project | The objective is to create a diverse team of students with both technical and business backgrounds. This team will collaborate to develop and present a feasible business plan. Furthermore, sponsored by our alumnus Alvin Lam, the managing director of T12M Ventures, each team will be eligible to receive up to $3,000 for registration of a new company. |
Field Trip | A trip to HKUST GBA incubators will be arranged in December 2023 |
