GenAI Hackathon for the SDGs

GenAI Hackathon for the SDGs is an exciting event organized in collaboration with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), the University of Hong Kong (HKU), City University of Hong Kong (CityU), and Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU).

This hackathon, running from 21st September to 19th October, offers a unique chance to use GenAI to tackle global challenges through education, innovation, and sustainability. Unlike traditional 24- or 48-hour hackathons, this event is designed to give you ample time to think critically, acquire new skills, and collaborate meaningfully with students from other universities.

Throughout the event, you'll have opportunities to network, attend seminars and workshops that deepen your understanding of sustainability and innovation, and compete for exciting prizes. Winners will also gain access to start-up incubation opportunities and entrepreneurial pathways.

The hackathon is organized around three thematic tracks:

1. Good Life for an Ageing Population - Innovating for enhanced, fulfilling senior lifestyles.
2. Sustainable Food and Waste Systems - Revolutionizing practices for eco-friendly consumption and waste reduction.
3. Inclusive City for All - Reimagining the city to be welcoming and empowering for everyone.
