HKUST Startup PhoMedics Sharing: From Lab to Medical Industry

***This sharing is co-organized with PhoMedics Limited. (Funding Recipient of the Yeung Wing Yee Entrepreneurs Fund)***

PhoMedics is a medical technology startup developing cutting-edge imaging technology that aims to unleash the full potential of the global healthcare system. Their flagship product, CHAMP Microscope, is expected to revolutionize how cancer cells are imaged during cancer surgery. Besides their grand vision about the future of the healthcare industry, PhoMedics’ founding team comprises young talents from both research and business perspective.

How do they come up with the idea of having PhoMedics? What are the difficulties of translating excellent research into a commercial product? Am I suitable to have my startup? Do I need a business background?

No worries! EC got you covered. One of PhoMedics’ co-founders, Mr. Victor T. C. Tsang, will share his journey with PhoMedics, and his view on startup from both a researcher and an entrepreneur perspective, with us on November 11, 2021 in HKUST theBASE. Save your questions till then, and stay tuned! See you there!
