“Well Being · Start-Up” Programme「共築・創業家」計劃

To encourage and support young people in pursuing their entrepreneurial dreams, the Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) has launched the Well Being·Start-Up programme, which offers shop premises in shopping centres under the HA for them to trial their business plans rent-free.

The programme targets individuals aged 35 or below and will run for seven months, from October 2024 to April 2025. Participants will not need to pay rent and will receive assistance with basic shop renovation and marketing. The HA will regularly review the business performance of the participants. If participants make a profit, the HA will charge 20 percent of their net profits to fund the programme to support its ongoing development.

1 August 2024 (09:00) to 31 August 2024 (18:00)

Eligibility

• Applicants must be 35 years of age or younger
• Participants aged 16 or under must register through their respective schools
• Applicants must hold a Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card

Selected Shopping Centres

About ten shops in seven HA shopping centres located in different districts, including Kowloon and the New Territories, have been selected for young people to start their businesses. The HA will regularly review the participating shopping centres and shops. The selected shopping centres are as follows:

1. Domain 大本型
2. Kai Chuen Shopping Centre 啟鑽商場
3. Hoi Lai Shopping Centre 海麗商場
4. Shui Chuen O Plaza 水泉澳廣場
5. Kwai Chung Shopping Centre 葵涌商場
6. Lei Muk Shue Shopping Centre 梨木樹商場
7. Queens Hill Shopping Centre 皇后山商場

Interested parties will have to submit business proposals to the HA before 6pm on 31 August 2024. The HA will assess the proposals based on innovation, feasibility and market potential, social benefits, financial arrangements and team management, etc., and allocate suitable shop premises to selected applicants.
