Interested in learning about entrepreneurship? Entrepreneurship Center is partnering with ZhenFund, one of China's earliest and top-tier angel funds, to host a startup talk on 15th Sept 2023 (Fri) from 6pm-8pm. The event will feature Victor Wang, the co-founder of ZhenFund and New Oriental Education & Technology Group, and two entrepreneurs who have graduated from HKUST sharing their technology entrepreneurship journey.

About the Speakers
Victor Wang
Victor Wang is the co-founder of ZhenFund.
Prior to ZhenFund, Victor co-founded New Oriental Education & Technology Group (NYSE: EDU), the largest provider of private education in China. Victor is not only a respected entrepreneur, but also a renowned enthusiast and collector of ancient Western books, and a well-known humanities scholar. He has authored and translated influential works such as "Reading Reconstructs Me," "A Bookworm's Summer in Oxford," and "The Private Papers of a Bankrupt Bookseller."
Victor is now an executive council member of the Centre for China & Globalization (CCG), a leading Chinese independent think tank based in Beijing. He is also a donor of the Future Science Prize. In 2015, Victor was honored as a Foundation Fellow at Harris Manchester College, Oxford University.
Liang Cheng
Liang Cheng is the Co-founder, Director and General Manager of Yunzhou Intelligent. He holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the HKUST, and is honored the ‘High-level talent in Zhuhai’. Mr. Cheng has over a decade of entrepreneurial experience, excelling in enterprise management, technical research and development, and market expansion. Together with Yunzhou's co-founder, Mr. Zhang Yunfei, they’ve led the Yunzhou team in overcoming key technologies in unmanned ship technology, such as autonomous navigation, intelligent obstacle avoidance, and collaborative control, creating a vast system of innovative unmanned ship technologies and continuously driving the development and industrial application of unmanned surface vessel technology.
Yunzhou Intelligence is currently the sole provider of a full range of unmanned surface vessel products and industry solutions. They have received multiple prestigious awards, including the Special Award for National Marine Science and Technology, the Special Award for National Marine Engineering Science and Technology, the National Environmental Protection Science and Technology Award, and the China Patent Award.
Qi'ao Gu
Qi'ao Gu is the founder and CEO of GP Nano. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biological Molecular Engineering from the HKUST. He is an outstanding postdoctoral researcher in innovation and entrepreneurship. He has filed 7 US patents, and his core patent received the Special Commendation Gold Award from the Jury of the Geneva International Invention Exhibition. During his time in Hong Kong, he co-founded GP Nano Tech and received prestigious honors, including the First Prize in The Hong Kong University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and the Gold Award in the China International College Students' "Internet+" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
GP Nano's Battery Separator Technology utilizes a new generation of high-energy density, ultra-fast charging, and extremely safe and environmentally friendly technologies. We are dedicated to empowering high-end batteries with lower costs and top-notch performance. GP Nano has successfully applied for 7 global patents from core processes and specific applications, establishing a comprehensive international technology framework.
