Martin Kou is a serial entrepreneur and angel investor, currently based in San Jose, California.
Martin was a co-founder behind Hummingbot Foundation – open-source market making software responsible for $100M+ USD of daily trading volume worldwide. He was a co-founder behind CoinAlpha Inc. - a liquidity advisory firm serving many of the top digital assets in the world. Martin is currently a co-founder and CTO of QuantAlpha Pte. Ltd. - a machine learning powered hedge fund focused on digital assets. Throughout his journey as an entrepreneur, Martin has raised more than $15M USD in funding from tier-1 VCs and family offices. He is currently an angel investor, and an LP in Silicon Valley VCs.
Martin's journey started in 2008, one year after he graduated from Computer Engineering in HKUST - when he founded Think Bulbs Ltd. He immigrated to the US after the success of his first startup, starting by opening a US subsidiary and applying for his own H1-B visa.

Founded in mid-2024, we are being backed by a major tier-1 multi-family office in Asia. We are currently expanding our investment product offerings to more traditional finance firms such as banks and broker dealers.
