I used to work at HSBC as a Management Associate, fast tracked for management, but I felt I wasn't able to have the impact I wanted. I joined MoneyHeroGroup a scale-up fintech that has now IPO'ed to learn how a startup operates. I realized as a young professional, there was no way to keep track of my spending. I had multiple cards, savings accounts, MPFs, investments and no visibility over any of them. We started an app to help people manage their money in one place - giving people insights on how to save more, how to start investing and more. That's how our journey at Planto started - over the years, we started licensing our technologies to banks which led us to profitability and now are exploring the next phase of expansion to another market.

Planto operates two verticals: 1. On the B2C level, we have a personal finance ecosystem that reaches 500,000+ people each year. We have an app that allows user to link up their bank accounts, credit cards, loans, investments, MPFs and insurances and gives them insights on their money to help them save, invest, or plan better, and get proactive recommendations for their money. We also have a financial product marketplace that allows users to compare various financial products, understand complex financial concepts in simple language and more. 2. On the B2B level, we license our insights engine to banks. This is an intelligence layer that gives banks ways to engage their customers, drive cross selling, do cash flow based credit assessments and build a 360 degree profile of their customers.
