Abida Medical, a healthcare startup founded by HKUST students, has participated in the RISE ALPHA Conference as a HKUST startup. They were given the opportunity to showcase their product and meet with different industry leaders over a three-day programme in early July.

RISE ALPHA provides a platform for different promising startups of various industries to exhibit their products. With more than 10,000 attendees and over 300 speakers, RISE ALPHA has been a prominent place for startups to connect and network with other entrepreneurs and various industry leaders over a three-day programme. This year, Abida Medical has set up a booth to showcase their product - Mamosound.  Alexander NICOL, the founder of Abida Medical, has also participated in a machine demo with their product on the stage for the pitching and demo competition. Moreover, they got the chance to meet investors during the RISE Office Hours session.

Mamosound combines the latest portable ultrasound imaging technology and advanced AI software to enable accurate and reliable breast cancer screenings. It is a portable ultrasound probe for early breast cancer detection which will help users to decrease the number of unnecessary hospital visits and improve healthcare delivery.
