AWS Educate and the AWS Student Ambassador Team are thrilled to announce the major event in 2022 – Business innovation Competition 2022: Digital Transformation!
This competition is ideal for undergraduates from all disciplines who would like to challenge themselves and demonstrate their problem-solving skills, creative innovation and digital-savviness during their years of study. This is a precious opportunity for you to challenge yourself, network with like-minded peers and industry leaders, earn a recognition for your skills and polish your CV during your University years!

About the competition:
In this competition, a team of 2-5 will:
1. Identify a business issue from your selected track within Digital Transformation
2. Propose a unique solution to solving your chosen issue
3. Incorporate AWS services to support your solution – Present it to judges and the public!
Eligible teams will be required to submit a One-Page Infographic in A3 Size (png/ jpeg) that describes the identified business issues and proposes corresponding AWS technology solutions. The best 8 teams (finalists) will be shortlisted into the final round. The finalists will deliver an 8-minute Final Presentation at the AWS Hong Kong Office to compete for the championship of the competition.
Teams may select one from the 3 tracks:
1. Customer Experience
2. Operational Efficiency
3. Environmental Sustainability Governance (ESG)

A Pre-event Culture of Innovation Workshop (Info session included) will be provided to all participants to enrich their knowledge of cloud computing, AWS services and digital transformation in Hong Kong. Team members may apply through this link to Seminar webpage.
Who is this competition for?
All Hong Kong undergraduate students from Universities and Higher Education Institutions interested in innovation and creative problem solving are welcomed to join the case competition. All backgrounds and majors are welcomed. We recommend having a diverse team from backgrounds of social sciences, engineering, graphic designs, computer sciences, etc. for an all-rounded preparation!
What is the prize?
All finalists and winners will be awarded with certifications of recognition.

How to apply?
To participate in the competition, all participants are required to complete all of the following on/before 28th September, 2022 (Wed) 23:59 HKT.
1. Download excel application form from the competition webpage and submit it to awseducate.dt2022@gmail.com(each team should submit once only).
2. Sign-up for AWS Educate (Free, self-learning education platform) with the SAME email of registration in the competition landing page (AWS Educate link: https://aws.amazon.com/education/awseducate/ ) with the registration code: HKAmbassador. No Credit Card info is required.
3. Submit an A3 Size Infographic about your business idea (you may upload it on drive or compress it if necessary) by email to awseducate.dt2022@gmail.com . Only one representative from each team needs to submit.
a. Email title: Team name – Infographic Submission
b. Infographic file in JPG/PNG format, with file name as: Team_(your team name) (e.g. Team_AWS)
* Please note that deadlines for application and infographic submission are the same. You may first apply for your team, then send an email with your infographic.
