13 Teams Selected for Dream Builder 2024–25 Cohort #2
At the HKUST Entrepreneurship Center, we believe that every impactful venture begins with a powerful idea. As the entry point of our IPIC startup development model — Ideation, Prototyping, Implementation, and Commercialization — the Dream Builder Program plays a vital role in nurturing early-stage entrepreneurial projects.
We are pleased to announce that 13 outstanding teams have been selected for the 2024–25 Cohort #2 of Dream Builder. Each awarded team will receive up to HKD 100,000 in seed funding to transform their innovative ideas into viable prototypes. The selected projects span a wide range of sectors, including artificial intelligence, education, social innovation, and healthcare. Notably, this cohort includes a digital scoring platform designed for equestrian competitions and a portable water scooter, both reflecting originality and practical application.
The selection process was overseen by a panel of experienced evaluators — Professor Carrie Ling, Mr. Cyrus Choi, and Mr. Joe Lin — who assessed the submissions based on innovation, market potential, social impact, and team capability. The panel was impressed by the clarity, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit demonstrated across the board.
"Dream Builder" continues to serve as a launchpad for aspiring student founders, offering essential resources and mentorship to help them navigate the early stages of their startup journey. As these teams begin their development, we look forward to supporting their progress through the full IPIC pathway and celebrating their growth in the months ahead.
