Women Entrepreneurship Day, hosted in celebration of International Women’s Day, brought the HKUST community together for an inspiring showcase of innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurship. The exhibition featured 10 women founders and engaged over 240 students, offering a meaningful opportunity to learn directly from the journeys behind these trailblazing ventures.

This year’s showcase spotlighted founders including Amanda Au of Second Skin Solutions, Xinyue Chang of KnowIt, and Minnie Soo of StashTag Education, alongside other outstanding entrepreneurs building across sectors such as EduTech, BeautyTech, and FoodTech. Through their stories, students gained a closer look at what it takes to move from an idea to execution—navigating early uncertainty, validating real user needs, and finding momentum through iteration.

Throughout the event, participants explored a diverse range of startups and gained first-hand insights into the realities of building a business—from early challenges to breakthrough moments. The programme also highlighted the support available through the Entrepreneurship Center, helping students better understand the resources, guidance, and opportunities that can accelerate their own entrepreneurial paths.

We extend our sincere thanks to all founders, students, and supporters who contributed to the success of this initiative. Please join us in continuing to celebrate and strengthen women’s entrepreneurship—together, we can build a more inclusive innovation ecosystem.
