Transforming Surplus into Opportunity
Founded by HKUST student Matey Yordanov and HKUST alumnus Francis So, Food With Benefits Limited is a FoodTech startup incubated by HKUST Entrepreneurship Center’s IPIC – Chan Dang Foundation Social Entrepreneurship Award. The startup is committed to transforming surplus produce and food manufacturing byproducts into high-value, functional food products—including their signature shake-and-go smoothies.
Innovative Technology for a Sustainable Future
Leveraging advanced freeze-drying technology, Food With Benefits' smoothies help reduce food waste in the supply chain while extending shelf life. With a well-established distribution network across Hong Kong and Macau, their products are available in retail shops, restaurants, cafés, and fitness centers. Additionally, with support from the Hong Kong Housing Authority, they have launched a retail concept at Domain Mall in Yau Tong, further strengthening community engagement.
We are incredibly proud of Food With Benefits for their outstanding achievements and for exemplifying the innovative and impactful spirit of HKUST’s entrepreneurial community.
