Alan said: "I am very honored to be elected on the list. I owe many thanks to my teachers, friends and colleagues for their consistent support." He is also very appreciative towards the Entrepreneurship Center and their staff for their dedication to the work and especially Donny Siu, who helped organize the Startup x Investor event in 2016 in which Pear Limited met their leading angel investor. In addition, the Director of Entrepreneurship Center and Alan's advisor, Prof. Gary Chan (http://www.cse.ust.hk/~gchan/) played a vital role in mentoring and encouraging Alan for this achievement. "To a great extent, I credit this achievement to my advisor, Professor S.-H. Gary Chan, for his years of mentoring and encouragement. I have learned from him how to define, decouple, differentiate, develop and defend problems and ideas. From him, I have gained the habit of being systematic, structural, punctual and precise. I am also very grateful for his recommendation of me to the Technology Leadership and Entrepreneurship (TLE) program." Alan also wants to encourage the current HKUST students to keep on pursuing their dreams as he says: "I hope you make full use of the wonderful environments that the University provides you.
