We’re excited to share that HKUST teams won 14 awards at the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2025! SmartMore Corporation Limited, an AI unicorn founded by alumnus Prof. Jiaya Jia, received the prestigious "Award of the Year" and "Smart Business Grand Award", while HKUST-incubated startup ArtInSight earned the "Student Innovation Grand Award", developed by HKUST students Wing Sze Nicola Chu, Marco Lee, and Norris Chung from CUHK. SmartMore stood out with its project SMore ViMo — a powerful, all-in-one platform for machine vision and industrial AI. Supporting over 1,000 real-world applications, ViMo enables manufacturers to manage data lifecycles, train models automatically, and deploy quickly with a low-code, modular design — making AI adoption faster and easier for businesses of all sizes.
ArtInSight is also impressive, winning three major awards: the Student Innovation Grand Award, Higher Education Gold Award, and Best Use of AI Award. Their AI-powered platform delivers a personalized and interactive art learning experience, combining art appreciation and art creation with cutting-edge ICT technologies to boost engagement and outcomes in art education.
