

The HKUST Entrepreneurship Bootcamp 2025 was successfully held in collaboration with ASPIRE League, Asian Universities Alliance (AUA), and The Association of East Asian Research Universities (AEARU), bringing together 82 passionate participants from 19 universities for a 7-day immersive experience on the HKUST campus in Hong Kong.
This year’s theme, Medical AI, served as the foundation for a wide range of engaging activities, including hands-on workshops, company visits, and interactive gaming sessions. Participants explored key entrepreneurial concepts such as design thinking, business modeling, and pitching, gaining practical skills and valuable insights.
A sincere thank-you to the LU Jockey Club Gerontech-X Lab for arranging a session with senior citizens, who shared firsthand experiences on age-friendly products and the everyday challenges of the elderly population. The meaningful interaction helped participants better understand user needs and the landscape of public support services.
Special appreciation goes to Lumis Games and Professor Steve Ann from Korea for introducing the business simulation game Battman, which offered a fun yet powerful way to learn about the realities of launching and managing a startup.
Thanks also to the Hong Kong Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases, HKCRC, and HKSTP for hosting visits that provided in-depth exposure to Hong Kong’s innovation ecosystem and the latest advancements in healthcare and biotechnology.
To conclude the week, a networking dinner on a Harbour Cruise, co-organized with the HKUST Founders’ Club, offered a memorable opportunity for participants to connect with experienced entrepreneurs while enjoying the stunning views of Hong Kong’s skyline.
Lastly, to express our appreciation to our guest speakers who shared their valuable insights with us. They included representatives from Hong Kong Christian Service (HKCS), Philip Ng form DBT Technology Limited, and Justin Chan from Gense Technology Limited. Their experiences and knowledge greatly enriched our program.
