HKUST Showcases Technological Breakthroughs at ASGH 2024

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and 10 local startups have once again participated in the annual Asia Summit on Global Health (ASGH). This year's event centred around the theme "The Voice of Innovation and Investment", attracting a strong turnout of entrepreneurs and investors.

Co-organized by the Government of the HKSAR and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council(HKTDC), the ASGH was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from 16-14 May 2024.

Throughout the two-day exhibition, HKUST and the participating startups showcased their latest technological innovations spanning fields such as artificial intelligence, fintech, and biotechnology. Attendees had the opportunity to directly engage with the companies, explore potential collaborations, and discuss investment opportunities.

The event drew a significant presence of renowned venture capitalists and angel investors, who were keen to scout for promising investment opportunities among the startups. Participating entrepreneurs expressed renewed confidence in their growth prospects, having secured new funding leads and forged valuable connections through the ASGH exhibition.

And EC Healthcare, Hong Kong's largest non-hospital medical service provider, and Gense Technologies, a medical technology start-up from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), have signed a partnership agreement during the ASGH event. By leveraging the power of local innovation, this collaboration aims to drive healthcare innovation and revolutionize the industry.
