HKUST Entrepreneurship Center is proud to share the exciting news that 'Not Only Powder,' a startup born from our innovative community, has been ranked #476 on the coveted FoodTech 500 list—a true milestone for the team!

This HKUST startup stands among the top five companies from Hong Kong to grace the list, showcasing its significant influence in the global FoodTech landscape. Their dedication to sustainability is at the core of their mission, addressing the critical issue of food surplus and waste with a proactive and innovative approach.

Not Only Powder has developed a novel method to combat food waste by collaborating with producers and suppliers to salvage fruits that are near expiration or considered imperfect. They utilize an advanced freeze-drying technique to convert these fruits into versatile, nutrient-rich powders, paving the way for sustainable food alternatives.

This honour follows their impressive win at the HKUST-SINO One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition in 2023. Their range of powdered meals, snacks, and beverages has set a new standard for sustainable consumption and has been well-received by consumers and industry peers alike.

Their ascent on the FoodTech 500 list is a reflection of their unwavering commitment and is a clear demonstration of how innovation, when paired with persistence, can drive meaningful change. Not Only Powder is revolutionizing the way we think about surplus fruits by transforming them into healthy, enduring food products, contributing to a global movement toward a more sustainable future.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Not Only Powder team for their remarkable achievements. We are excited to see them continue to soar, turning food waste challenges into food wonder opportunities.
