Supported by the HKUST Acceleration Fund, start-up Intelligent Design Technology Limited, led by HKUST student FUNG Kwong Chiu (Year 2, MPhil (TLE)) is ranked Top 10 of the entrepreneurship competition in Asian Universities Alliance (AUA) Entrepreneurship Initiative Online Program. The team has been awarded up to USD1,500 for travelling to Tsinghua University, Shanghai, to meet with entrepreneurial talents across Asia.

The low-cost and cloud-based thermal sensing systems/ camera stations ("Thermal Plus") developed by the team can detect temperature with high accuracy and timely data analysis on cloud management system. These camera stations have been widely implemented in the campus to mitigate risks of COVID-19.
