HKUST startup teams distinguished themselves at the Qianhai-Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao-Taiwan Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition 2024, Hong Kong Regional, by securing both one Silver Award and one Bronze Award.

The team securing the Silver Award, Neurodyssey Association Limited, was founded by HKUST Faculty member Nicolson SIU. The team has developed a comprehensive service platform dedicated to improving children's mental health. Their approach involves a neuropsychological assessment, followed by a customized intervention program backed by scientific data. The goal is to enhance children's learning motivation and cultivate their psychological resilience to face challenges.

The Bronze Award was won by Team iWalk (行醫博士), a healthcare initiative that focuses on improving children's foot health through innovative smart orthotic insoles. Their mission is to enable families to proactively contribute to their children's optimal musculoskeletal development and overall well-being.
