The Cyberport University Partnership Programme (CUPP) 2025, a flagship initiative of Cyberport Academy designed to cultivate emerging digital technology entrepreneurs, successfully concluded its Graduation Ceremony in August 2025. Among the 20 participating teams, three exceptional teams nominated by the HKUST Entrepreneurship Center distinguished themselves, securing HK$100,000 in seed funding through the Cyberport Creative Micro Fund (CCMF). This program, themed around artificial intelligence, blockchain, cybersecurity, and Web3, provides comprehensive boot camps, mentorship, and competitive opportunities to foster FinTech and digital innovation talents.

The HKUST Entrepreneurship Center played a pivotal role in preparing our participants, facilitating their involvement in a U.S.-based entrepreneurship boot camp to acquire hands-on exposure to international innovation ecosystems. This experience equipped our students and alumni with essential global perspectives and practical skills. Professor Carrie Hang-yin Ling, Director of the HKUST Entrepreneurship Center, attended the Award Ceremony to commend the teams on their achievements and reinforce our commitment to bridging academic excellence with real-world entrepreneurial impact.

We extend our sincerest congratulations to the award-winning HKUST teams—brAllle, NeuroBacktest, and Slasher Pro—for their innovative solutions and exemplary execution. Over the ensuing six months, these teams will leverage CCMF support to refine their product prototypes, advancing toward commercialization. This success exemplifies the creativity, resilience, and transformative potential of HKUST’s entrepreneurial community.
