The HKUST Entrepreneurship Center, in collaboration with the HKUST MBA program, hosted an information session to officially launch the HKUST ETA Fellowship. Attracting over 100 participants both physically and virtually, the initiative marks a significant milestone as the first fellowship-based, university-anchored Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) program in Asia.
The information session detailed why ETA is increasingly recognized as a vital pathway for business leadership and succession in the region. During the event, the organizers explained how the fellowship is uniquely positioned to support prospective entrepreneurs through a robust ecosystem comprising tailored training, expert mentorship, and direct access to investors. For this pioneering initiative, the HKUST Entrepreneurship Center has partnered with Search Panda™ as its strategic partner.
The event featured insightful contributions from a panel of distinguished speakers, providing a candid and comprehensive outlook on the future of business succession in Asia. The panel included Prof. Stephen Shih, Associate Dean of MBA Programs and Adjunct Professor of Management at HKUST; Prof. Carrie Hang-yin Ling, Director of the HKUST Entrepreneurship Center; Mr. Yiqiao Wang, Founder of Search Panda™; and Mr. Kelvin Panitpichetvong, Founder of Succession Capital.
Following the successful launch, the inaugural cohort of the HKUST ETA Fellowship is now officially accepting applications. Furthermore, the HKUST Entrepreneurship Center is actively seeking visionary investors to join and support this expanding ecosystem.
