The HKUST Entrepreneurship Center proudly inaugurated the Fall semester with the return of the Friday Dreamer Series on the final Friday evening of September. This flagship initiative convenes the HKUST community to inspire and equip aspiring entrepreneurs with the insights and networks essential for transforming vision into viable ventures.

The opening session featured Jackson Yip, founder of EC Innovation Limited and Silver Award recipient of the 2024 HKUST Entrepreneurship Competition, who shared a comprehensive account of his entrepreneurial trajectory. His presentation illuminated critical lessons on resilience, strategic decision-making, and the interplay between mindset and innovation. The subsequent OpenMic segment enabled participants to present early-stage concepts, solicit expert feedback, and identify potential collaborators, fostering an environment of dynamic exchange and interdisciplinary synergy.

Events such as the Friday Dreamer Series serve as foundational platforms for cultivating HKUST’s startup ecosystem. By facilitating cross-generational and cross-disciplinary connections, these gatherings accelerate idea development and reinforce our commitment to nurturing the next cohort of impactful innovators. We extend our gratitude to all attendees and anticipate continued momentum throughout the semester.
