The selection process for the Lo Kwee Seong Technopreneurship (Tech-Ship) Fund 2025/26 has officially concluded. Proudly supported by the Lo Kwee Seong Foundation, the Tech-Ship Fund continues to empower startups affiliated with the university to translate academic research and innovation into real-world impact.

The HKUST Entrepreneurship Center remains committed to nurturing these startups through its signature IPIC Incubation Model. This comprehensive framework systematically guides emerging ventures through four critical stages of development: Ideation, Prototyping, Implementation, and Commercialisation.

Last month, a highly competitive pool of applications was rigorously reviewed by an esteemed judging panel. The panel featured distinguished representatives from across the innovation ecosystem, including Mrs. Joy Lo Cheung and Ms. Mable Sieh from the Lo Kwee Seong Foundation, Prof. Carrie Ling from the HKUST Entrepreneurship Center, Dr. Carmen Fung from the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation, and Mr. Joe Chan from the HKUST Office of Knowledge Transfer.

The awarded projects span a wide range of cutting-edge technology areas leveraging university research, specifically in Biomedical, Energy and Environmental Technology, Electronics, and AI and Big Data.

These selected teams will now embark on a 12-month incubation journey with the HKUST Entrepreneurship Center. During this period, the awardees will receive tailored mentorship, practical training, and vital funding support. The HKUST Entrepreneurship Center looks forward to following the journeys of these startups as they drive growth, create social impact, and foster cross-border innovation.
