The founders of Designwerk developed a passion for electric mobility during their 80-day, all-electric world record circumnavigation on the Zerotracer cabin motorcycle. Since its establishment in 2008, Designwerk has been at the forefront of driving electromobility with innovative products and projects, with the aim of promoting sustainable mobility.
Designwerk's impressive contract development portfolio boasts over 100 projects, including the Microlino project, an all-electric remake of the classic BMW Isetta, and co-development of the DXP postal delivery vehicle, produced and distributed by Kyburz.
In 2021, Volvo Group acquired a stake in Designwerk Group to complement its existing offerings in niche products and solutions. They are driving the transformation to electromobility.
