Strengthening Global Entrepreneurial Ties with Young Founders Network from Germany

The HKUST Entrepreneurship Center was delighted to host a delegation of 18 young entrepreneurs from the Young Founders Network e.V. (YFN) in Germany, led by Hong Kong Talent Engage, on . This visit represented a significant milestone in strengthening global entrepreneurial ties, facilitating meaningful exchange between the next generation of international founders and HKUST’s dynamic startup ecosystem.

 

Representing the Center, Cyrus Choi, Assistant Director of the HKUST Entrepreneurship Center, delivered a comprehensive introduction to our robust incubation framework and entrepreneurial resources. His presentation highlighted the integrated support system that guides startups from ideation through to scaling, underscoring our steadfast commitment to innovation and cross-border collaboration.

The session was further enriched by presentations from two distinguished HKUST-affiliated startup founders:

•  Yann Zylberberg and Griffin Kentrup, Co-Founders of Cofluence

•  Alan Rodriguez, COO & Co-Founder of FLASH Diagnostics

Both speakers shared compelling narratives of their entrepreneurial journeys, from overcoming initial obstacles to achieving pivotal breakthroughs. Their insights provided actionable perspectives on building and scaling ventures in today’s rapidly evolving global landscape, with particular relevance to Hong Kong’s high-velocity innovation environment.

The program concluded with a lively Q&A session, during which participants engaged in in-depth discussions on critical entrepreneurial challenges, including product validation, fundraising strategies, and international expansion.
