Hello, I’m Damon, the co-founder of Onepile 一沓紙, graduated with a degree in Marketing and Management from HKUST in 2003. My academic background and experience in financial services and asset management have greatly facilitated my entrepreneurial journey. I founded Onepile to leverage digital technology for book sharing and resource exchange, aiming to bridge educational gaps and foster a vibrant reading community. My commitment to environmental sustainability and civic awareness drives my work, as I believe in the transformative power of knowledge. Onepile’s efforts have been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Outstanding Cultural Creativity Prize 2022, the Greater Bay Area Youth Development and Entrepreneurship Fund, and the Chan Dang Foundation Social Service Fund. Additionally, we have been certified by the United Nations for "Quality Education," enabling us to place over 10 book-crossing machines in communities. As an SDG Ambassador, I am dedicated to creating a knowledgeable, environmentally conscious, and inclusive society. My dream is to promote the Onepile book-crossing machine throughout Hong Kong and eventually worldwide, enabling everyone to share second-hand books. Through Onepile, I strive to promote responsible consumption, environmental awareness, and a love for reading, aiming to build a better future for everyone.
