What is Pitch Perfect?

Pitch Perfect offers a unique opportunity for promising early-stage startups from HKUST to connect with leading investors and venture capitalists. This program provides startups with a platform to present their ideas and refine their pitches, receiving invaluable feedback from experienced investors while gaining insights into the fundraising process.  

Join us to elevate your startup journey and turn your vision into reality! The pitching events will be held quarterly, featuring a different selection of startups each time to ensure a diverse range of ideas and innovations.  

The program is by invitation only. We will carefully select startups from the candidate pool that best align with the investors' areas of interest.

Eligibility

We’re looking to cultivate the next generation of entrepreneurs. You are welcome to join Pitch Perfect if you are beyond the ideation stage:

  • The startup have a working prototype
  • The startup should demonstrate some initial market traction
  • The startup must contain at least one HKUST member (current students, alumni, faculty and staff) *

*Remarks: 
1. The HKUST member(s) must hold at least 10% ownership in the proposed company.

APPLICATION

The program is by invitation only. We will select a number of startups from the candidate pool that best align with the investors' areas of interest. To be considered for the pool, please submit the following documents through the Online Application Form:

  • 10-minute Pitch Deck
  • BR, CI, AOA and NNC1

Upcoming Session

For this upcoming session, we are excited to welcome esteemed guest from Brizan Ventures, a leading venture capital firm investing in high-growth technology startups in Greater China. Co-founded in 2017 by Professor Ko Ping-Keung—an esteemed figure known as the “Father of China’s Chip Angel Investing”—and Mr. Andrew Kwong, who brings extensive expertise in international capital markets, the firm builds upon a legacy of semiconductor investing that began in 2001.
