When studying at HKUST in 2004, Dr. Liang Hu and I began exploring entrepreneurial ideas. He later joined IMEC as an engineer, while I entered investment banking. Years later, as the Greater Bay Area began its rapid push into advanced semiconductors, we saw the perfect moment to act. With strong support from academic mentors such as Prof Kei May LAU, we founded Ainfinity Semiconductor — a company built at the intersection of technology, capital, and industrial transformation.
I’m passionate about connecting innovation with commercialization, bridging Hong Kong and mainland China’s semiconductor ecosystems, and empowering the next generation of wide-bandgap technologies.

Ainfinity focuses on the industrialization of next-generation wide-bandgap semiconductors, particularly AIN and GaN materials. Based in Hong Kong, we collaborate closely with MRDI and key partners across mainland China, leveraging Hong Kong’s strategic position as a hub for R&D and talent.
