My name is Haixin Wang, the founder of Pleiades Optoelectronics, a company focused on developing advanced optical calibration solutions. I graduated from the Technology Leadership and Entrepreneurship (TLE) program at HKUST, where I developed a deep understanding of both technical innovation and business management. Before founding Pleiades in 2024, I gained valuable experience working as a Project Manager and Product Manager at two Fortune 500 companies, Continental AG and Valeo. During my time at Continental AG, I led projects in automotive electronics and thermal management, while at Valeo, I was responsible for managing advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) product lines. These roles sharpened my project management skills, honed my ability to innovate under constraints, and strengthened my understanding of how to deliver complex products to market. In 2024, I recognized the need for portable and reliable optical calibration tools in the aerospace and imaging industries. This led to the founding of Pleiades, with the vision to provide field-ready optical calibration solutions for UAV mapping, infrared sensing, and satellite imaging applications. Since then, I have led the development of our flagship product, PortaBeam, and built strong relationships with customers and industry partners to drive innovation in optical technologies.
