The HKUST Entrepreneurship Center has successfully concluded the Spring 2026 cohort of its Entrepreneurship 101 Training Program. This transformative 10-week initiative empowered over 60 aspiring student entrepreneurs, equipping them with the essential mindset, skills, and practical tools to turn their innovative ideas into actionable ventures.

Designed as a launchpad to take students from "zero to one," the comprehensive curriculum allowed participants to explore the key pillars of entrepreneurship. Through hands-on sessions and real-world insights, students received expert guidance on problem discovery, business modeling, intellectual property (IP), legal fundamentals, marketing, pitching, and startup finance.

To further engage the broader campus community, the HKUST Entrepreneurship Center hosted four open sharing sessions at the Art Hall. Each session attracted a full house, sparking lively discussions and thoughtful Q&As. The vibrant entrepreneurial atmosphere extended well beyond the scheduled talks, with students staying behind to connect with speakers, exchange ideas, and seek tailored advice for their own ventures.

The program culminated in a highly anticipated Final Pitch Day, where eight selected teams showcased their developed ideas. Highlighting the strong solidarity and support within the university's ecosystem, these eight teams are eligible to receive company incorporation support, made possible by the generosity of alumnus Mr. Alvin Lam.

The HKUST Entrepreneurship Center extends its deepest gratitude to the distinguished speakers and mentors whose unwavering support and inspiration were vital to the program's success: Carrie Ling, Erwin Huang, William Kwan, Pauli Wong, Dillan Sum, Henry Chang, Alvin Lam, Joseph Koc, and Mike Lam.

Driven by its mission to cultivate the next generation of changemakers through education, mentorship, and community, the HKUST Entrepreneurship Center continues to guide these students as they build ventures that matter. For students ready to begin their entrepreneurial journey, applications for the Entrepreneurship 101 Fall 2026 cohort will officially open this August.
