The Entrepreneurship Center (EC) of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) successfully organized the 7th Annual One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition on June 8-9. The 2-day competition has started with Exhibition and Elevator Pitch Session followed by a Business Plan Evaluation.

This year a total of near 90 teams participated which most of the competing teams were composed of HKUST faculty, staff, students, and alumni from the schools of Science, Engineering, and Business. Judges on the panels of the four round assessments are from leading executives, professional investors and entrepreneurial academics.

Prof. Tony F Chan, the President of HKUST, pronounced in the award dinner. “It's very innovative. The prototypes and concepts are really amazing. This is the second year that this competition has been extended beyond Hong Kong, the footprint has been extended. I am thankful to the sponsors and especially our colleagues for their efforts to support this competition.”
