Lu received BEng from HKUST in 2009 with Academic Achievement medal (GPA 4/4) and first class honour; PhD from Columbia University in 2014 and joined HKUST in 2016 as Assistant Professor and was promotion in 2022 to Associate Professor with tenure. She is a serial entrepreneur, co-founded an EdTech start-up stepmojo in the US in 2020 which went through series A fundraising and successful merger in 2022. She then founded Digital Continents Limited in 2022 in Hong Kong. Digital Continents Limited’s first project is ezpie, a one-stop technology platform for a thriving data ecosystem. At ezpie, their mission is to democratize the data market and make it accessible to everyone. They believe that data analysis and visualization should be intuitive and accessible to all, regardless of technical expertise. By leveraging the power of cloud and AI, ezpie aims to simplify the data analysis process and empower users to make data-driven decisions with ease and blockchain-backed maximum security.
